Equipment Index
4.0 - Equipment
4.1 - Weapons
Thankfully, Warriors have the ability to use every weapon type in the game including ranged weaponry, save wands. Whether duel weilding, using a hand weapon and sheild, or a two handed weapon, it provides maximum flexibility in all aspects of offensive and deffensive combat. They can use:
4.2 - Armour
Warriors are allowed any type of armor in the game, save plate, before level 40. At 40, they finally can wear the best armour the game has to offer. In my personal experience, try and keep, or save some of you mail armour when you hit 40, and dont switch everything you are wearing to plate. Think of it this way, you have just spent the last 40 levels collecting the best mail the game has to offer at that point, and should you go to the AH the moment you ding 40 and spend needed money on a full set of plate, that plate is bottom end, though the armour is a little higher. Keep the mail you have until you find something WORTHWHILE to replace it with. Once accessable, plate makes your Warrior truly formidable as a tank character. Depending on your character role, you will be aiming for different things out of your armor. If you are primarily a tank, then AC, Deffense skill, and Stamina are the primary issues. If you are playing a DPS powerhouse, aim for items with bonuses to Agility, Crit chance, and Strength.
We have had many requests for information regarding Warrior sets. Most of the requests are for information about where to find the set items and what the full sets offer for bonuses.
Battlegear of Valor (level 54):
http://thottbot.com/index.cgi?set=189
The first major set a Warrior can get is the Valour set. The set items require level 52 - 58 depending on the piece. Now, for Warriors as opposed to almost every other class, only our Bracers are BOE, so it will take a very long time for us to collect the entire set. It will take you quite a bit of questing, and a lot of lucky rolling to collect the full set.
