Thrallmar and Honor Hold are the first outposts you will be reaching upon entering the Dark Portal. As you may know, they're the first 'quest hubs' and will provide you quests and rewards for all of Hellfire Citadel. While you may start doing quests right away for them and gaining the appropiate reputation, you will be wanting to (ideally) hold off and kill some Fel Orcs for awhile until Friendly, if you want to skip one or two dungeon runs by the end to get Exalted.

Neutral to Friendly

It is recommended that you go and kill level 61~63 Fel Orcs near the highway for your first reputation gains, since you won't be able to use them later on if you so much as complete 10-12 quests for your questing hub; by obtaining 3000 rep (at 5 rep each, if you have the patience - this will stop at Friendly).

Monsters that will yield reputation for you as you fight in Hellfire Peninsula if you're neutral are:

• Shattered Hand Acolyte
• Shattered Hand Berserker
• Shattered Hand Captain
• Shattered Hand Grunt
• Shattered Hand Guard
• Shattered Hand Mage
• Shattered Hand Warlock
• Bleeding Hollow Necrolyte

Friendly to Honored

In addition to your given quests (if you complete them all, you should be earning around 13,000 reputation, including the Dungeon quests), you will have the option to do the quest "Hellfire Fortifications".

Hellfire Fortifications

Capture the Overlook, the Stadium and Broken Hill, then return to Battlecryer Blackeye in Thrallmar or Warrant Officer Tracy Proudwell in Honor Hold.

This quest will get you 3 Marks of Thrallmar or Honor Hold, and 75 Reputation - this can be done twice daily, although be warned, level 70's like to make these PvP objectives their ganking grounds!

Honored to Revered

You will be finding yourself unable to keep obtaining Reputation once you hit Honored from anything but quests until you come back to Hellfire Peninsula at level 67, ready to tackle on the Shattered Halls and their quests. This will need you to either finish the Shattered Halls keyline quest or have someone in your party able to open the door to Shattered Halls.

Upon reaching Shattered Halls, monster kills within will net you reputation up until exalted if you so choose, although there's better ways to obtain such reputation once you reach level 70. We'll explore these other options as we get to the Revered to Exalted section.

Revered to Exalted

Here you have 2 choices, either run Shattered Halls until you reach exalted, at 6-7 rep per kill and 150 rep per boss kill, or you can alternatively run the Heroic versions of Hellfire Peninsula's dungeons, like Hellfire Ramparts, Blood Furnace, and Shattered Halls, for heroic quality items and badges along with your reputation!

A useful item to use is the Thrallmar or Honor Hold Favor item bought from Marks from the PvP quest - this will increase your total reputation gains by 25% for a long while, allowing you to rack up the reputation faster while running these dungeons!

Reputation Numbers

As an additional aid to you the player we have a chart for you to gauge how you will be getting your reputation within the dungeons, so you can plan accordingly as to when you will finally obtain Exalted if you're going for it!

Hellfire Ramparts - Normal (Neutral ~ Honored) = ~625 reputation per run

Hellfire Ramparts - Heroic (Revered ~ Exalted) = ~2400 reputation per run

Blood Furnace - Normal (Neutral ~ Honored) = ~725 reputation per run

Blood Furnace - Heroic (Revered ~ Exalted) = ~2600 reputation per run

Shattered Halls - Normal (Neutral ~ Exalted) = ~1600 reputation per run

Shattered Halls - Heroic (Revered - Heroic) = ~2900 reputation per run
