WoW Classic is set to use patch 1.12 on launch, and with it, the rise of "twink" builds (especially at level 19 and higher) will be alive and well. For anyone who doesn't know, twinking is using a non-max level character that stays in a particular level bracket, while rocking best in slot items, to be the strongest that they can, against lesser geared opponents. The level 19 bracket in World of Warcraft was always the most popular, and with it, brought a set list of items that hasn't changed much in all these years. It's also important to remember the following when twinking/building your Druid.
- You're aiming to be the strongest you can be, for a specific PvP bracket.
- You don't want to exceed your bracket level, or your twink is useless.
- All activites, except scenarios, give XP. You need to remember this when questing and exploring.
- Some crafting such as Alchemy and/or First Aid are invaluable when twinking.
- Twinking is often more viable if your "main" gives goods and gold to your twink-alt.
- You cannot stop experience gain. Twinks are designed for a specific purpose (roaming PvP, dueling or scenarios).
Thanks as always to WilliE, Dawnstor, Breach (Guild), The Unnamed (Guild) and Warcraft Tavern for their input, and of course, WoWHead for their brilliant item database.
