Blizzard is Removing Charge to Change Gender

Players will be able to change their character's gender free of charge.

When World of Warcraft: Shadowlands launches, players will be able to visit the Barber Shop to change their gender at no charge. 

Currently, players must pay $15 in the Blizzard store to change their gender.  This will allow players to redo their character customization including gender, but not change race or faction. 

John Higt, the Executive Producer gave this quote to Eurogamer.

"Gosh the only way you can change your gender in World of Warcraft is to go through this paid service. And we felt like that’s not the right message.”

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands begins beta testing this week and is schedule to launch in the fall of 2020.
