Blizzard has announced that they will be running a beta stress test of their new forums

We're happy to announce that we'll be ready to begin stress testing the beta version of the new World of Warcraft forums starting tomorrow, Thursday, July 27 at 4:00 PM PDT. This stress test is scheduled to last approximately 24 hours. To ensure that the stress test is successful, we will be making our regular forums read-only during this 24-hour period. This means players will still be able to visit our standard forums and read what's available, but they will be unable to post there.
