Caydiem over at Blizzard has made this statement about how Blizzard views player opinions:

Tyren did say that player feedback is not the primary means of deciding what must be changed, and this is true.

Before you get up in arms about this, though, I do want to clarify a few things.

Players post the issues they feel are outstanding and need to be addressed on these boards because they care. If they didn't care about the issue or the game, they wouldn't post. You folks want to have the best game experience possible, and I understand that. The above phrase does not mean we ignore what you say -- far from it. We still note down your concerns and take them to the development team.

The developers do have a direction that they're taking the game, however; goals and priorities on which they work. It is to this direction that they hold primarily. Your feedback is a factor, just not the first, number one priority on that road.

You folks trusted our judgement enough to purchase the game and play it, and you care about it enough to voice your opinion on it. All we're asking is that you extend that trust. There is a plan and the developers are working toward it.

Keep in mind, though, that we are listening to you -- please, continue to voice your opinions and concerns, and they will be brought forth and addressed game-wise if necessary.
