Update 1: December 9 - Forged Chaos just sent over two never-seen-before screenshots from Trials of Ascension! They now replace the previous images.
If you're not sure what an AMA is, you probably don't lurk on Reddit too often, which is where it began. AMA means Ask Me Anything. How it works is, someone makes a brief introduction about themselves (“I'm a dumb dancing bear – AMA!”) and then people respond with questions. The person who made the introduction then answers these questions. These AMAs often come with time limits, because the person offering to answer questions usually isn't in a position where he or she can sit around for days answering internet questions. I've read AMAs from industry professionals, such as scientists, developers, or authors, to average people like you and me, who just happen to either be bored of feel they could be of interest to the average Redditor. AMAs these days go beyond Reddit, and we're hosting our first in two weeks here on Ten Ton Hammer.
For those who like facts, here's what you need to know. This AMA will take place here, on Ten Ton Hammer, on December 20, at 2p ET/11a PT. Since this could change, I will be ready to edit this article with any new information. These changes will appear at the very top here, so don't worry about digging through stuff. This will only happen if it's absolutely necessary, but we are trying to get as many people from Forged Chaos to participate with us. On Team Hammer, we'll have at least myself and our Master of Rainbows and Unicorns, Kevin Christopher. In order to ask questions, you'll need a Disqus account, because questions will be asked in our comments here. We'll also be hanging out on Twitch, which is where you can hear your questions asked and answered! If you're wondering why we're choosing Twitch for this, the answer is simple. Forged Chaos will be showing exclusive, never before seen gameplay from Trials of Ascension during this AMA. How cool is that? I'm pretty stoked, personally! We'll be giving the devs your questions to be answered for an hour, so make sure you stick around for the full time. Thirty minutes before the AMA begins, we'll have a new post in our “Features” section, where you can begin asking your questions in the comments section at the end.
This is something new I've been wanting to try out for awhile, so I hope all of you out there would join us, whether you've been following the game longer than I have, like to keep up with what's going on in the indie development scene, or you just want to join us! We're pretty excited to be sharing the experience with everyone. If you don't want to keep an eye on our Features page for when that AMA article goes up at approximately 1:30p ET/10:30a PT on December 20, be sure to follow TTH on Twitter, as well as Forged Chaos. We will be working with them to make sure this announcement is cross promoted from both sides, because we really do want to make sure you do not miss out! Come join us in the fun, see something with the rest of the world for the first time ever, and make sure to have your questions handy! See you then.
