Another Kickstarter game has been successfully funded. Ragnar Tørnquist’s Dreamfall Chapters, the continuation of The Longest Journey saga, passed its initial Kickstarter goal of $850,000 just over a week after the campaign launch. This weekend the Kickstarter concluded, ending at nearly twice the initial goal at $1,538,425.

In addition to exceeding the target goal several stretch goals were also met. Each stretch goal met means more content for the game that includes a Mac and Linux version, in-game library with books and lore, a longer journey with new characters, stories and locations, the House of all Worlds, an interactive graphic novel, improved soundtrack and in-game gallery, German and French versions with more voice overs, and the Director’s Cut with new commentary tracks.

The Kickstarter is over and that means that development is on full speed ahead. Be sure to keep up with all the latest updates on the Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey website.
