Use Your Taskbar!
Community Relations Manager Sporkfire posted a couple of known issues
that affect gameplay:
Issue 1: These directions only apply to players
getting the
error "There was a error understanding the data from the server"
message. If you are not getting this error please do not follow these
directions.
1. Download the file from: href="http://download.turbine.com/ddo/ddo_gamelogic_dat.zip"
target="_blank">http://download.turbine.com/ddo/ddo_gamelogic_dat.zip
Make sure you download it to a location you can find it, like your
Desktop.
2. Close any running DDO client you may have open. This includes any in
your Windows Task Bar.
3. Unzip this file ddo_gamelogic_dat.zip to you DDO folder. The folder
by default is located at:
C:\Program Files\Turbine\Dungeons & Dragons Online Stormreach
4. You will be asked if you want to replaces the file. You want to say
Yes to this.
5. Now try and log into DDO as normal.
Issue 2: There is also an issue that will crash the DDO client
when spells are cast that bring up pop-up windows. You can work around
this issue by dragging the spell icons for Teleport or Resist spells to
your taskbar. You should be able to cast these spells from the taskbar
without issues.
