Most Blizzard fans know about the upcoming release of the World of Warcraft boardgame, but are hesitant about making the switch from Moniter to tabletop. Some new details that have been released, the game has over 1000 components, 500+ color cards, 16 playable characters and models including all races 8 races, 120 monster models, and all coming in at a whoping box total of 10 pounds.

World of Warcraft: the Board Game is a new tabletop experience from designer Christian T. Petersen and Fantasy Flight Games, the company that brought you Warcraft: the Board Game and many others. In World of Warcraft: the Board Game, you take on the role of one of sixteen Heroes, allied with either the Horde or the Alliance. You and your teammates travel across Lordaeron, either separately or in parties, challenge monsters, complete quests, and grow in wealth and power. Meanwhile, your opposing team does the same, both of you striving to defeat the Overlord … or each other.
