It didn't take long for Onyxia and Ragnaros to be killed. In fact, only a few hours after the world first level 60 character. Before you all proclaim that WoW Classic is easy, that there's no content, and that raiding is a cake-walk compared to Battle for Azeroth, I think it's worth knowing who APES are.

Firstly, they're a long-time private server guild that have killed Ragnaros well over 500 times. Not only that, but they've played on private servers for over five years, and - it's said - are so well versed in the leveling process that when Jokerd hit level 60, they already had 40 players who not only crossed the line, but also met many of the reputation and item requirements for Molten Core. To then one-shot Ragnaros and Onyxia, without breaking a sweat, is just incredible.

While I think it's fair to say Classic's dungeons and raids are mechanically easy, I think much of their difficulty back in the day was based on the fact many players' computers ran like shit, players weren't used to a 40 man raid, and we'd never been exposed to harder content. I still expect pug raids to take a while to clear Ragnaros and Onyxia, but I think - for the most part - they'll still be easy. Does that mean Classic is dead in the water? Not at all, but it does suggest that unless Blizzard give it a greater shelf life, it'll soon grow stale.
