While Dark Souls III took home the Ultimate Game of the Year award, GamesRadar (who hosts the annual Golden Joystick awards) was generous to Blizzard, crediting Overwatch with five 2016 awards:
- Best Original Game
- Best Multiplayer Game
- Best Gaming Moment (for Play of the Game in Overwatch)
- PC Game of the Year
- Competitive Game of the Year
Other big winners included Firewatch (best indie), The Witcher 3: Blood and Fire (Best Storytelling, Best Visual Design), and Pókemon Go (Most Innovative).
