What could cause PC games sales to drop from year to year? There could be several factors that could lead to this decline. Illegal downloading of software from the internet will probably always be the main contributor to this. However there is one aspect not a lot of people have considered into this factor as well. Why? Think of it this way. As more and more MMO’s get introduced into the market place and become more and more addictive, more and more people start spending less on other games. Before the MMO’s became popular most people would go out, buy a game play it and once finished set it aside and go buy the next one and follow the same path. With MMO’s there is no need for this. You are part of a ever changing world when playing an MMO and the game never really ends.
