We have obtained new information relating to recent scam attempts e-mailed to World of Warcraft customers. These e-mails take the form of an “official contact” to the player requesting specific account and password information. In this specific case the e-mail addresses are made to seem as though they are coming from [email protected] or [email protected]

Please be aware that any e-mails sent to you from [email protected] or [email protected] are not from Blizzard Entertainment. If at any time you are unsure of the validity of an e-mail that was sent to you concerning your World of Warcraft account, please e-mail [email protected]

Blizzard will never request your password through e-mail, ever. More information on various scam attempts and what you can do to protect yourself can be found on our Billing Support site. ~ Drysc
