We are happy to open up a new game content section today on the site. We have added a section with writeups regarding professions and how they work in the World of Warcraft.

In the World of Warcraft there are two types of professions: Primary and Secondary. The professions are also divided into three categories: gathering, production, and service. Each player may have as many secondary professions as they choose, however you may only have two primary professions. Also once learnt, professions may not be unlearned, so be careful when selecting them.

While working on your professions in WoW there are a few things to keep in mind. Professions in World of Warcraft essentially have zero chance of failure, unlike many other MMORPGs. The difficult part in levelling professions in WoW is from the different elements involved in completing each item. Many items are either very hard to find, or must be traded for from other professions from different players. This requires working together with other professions to advance to the highest levels of your own profession. A very cool interaction.
