Blizzard have revealed first details of Blood Marsh, the Unicorn and Disney animal themed new area for the Diablo 3's Reaper of Souls expansion. Sounds so pleasant!

So what's Blood Marsh all about? First of all it really isn't filled with Unicorns and Disney animals, but is instead all about swamps, corrupted creatures and things that go "bleururghghghghghgh!". The blog post provides a history of the area as well as how Blizzard went about creating the theme and the creatures who inhabit the zone. From the screenshots it's looking rather tasty even if Diablo III still remains one of my most hated games (you never know, Repear of Souls might salvage it).

Enveloping a large portion of the western reaches of Khanduras, the Blood Marsh is a massive, swampy stretch of land, split by rivers and tributaries often utilized for passage and trade. Despite its current inhospitable nature, it was not always a dread-inducing locale and in fact was once the home of one of Sanctuary's greatest civilizations.
