Marvel Heroes has been referred to as the spiritual successor to Diablo II in the past, and this week some players will get the chance to find out how true that statement is. Closed beta is set to get underway.
In his latest Blog, Marvel Heroes Community Director Stephen Reid explained how players can register to be considered for the beta and what they should expect if selected. In short, Reid clarified that this is testing and not a demo or finished product.
"Notice I did say testing and not play a demo or play the game early. When we say Closed Beta it means that youre testing unfinished software. Marvel Heroes is still in active development, and everyone who applies for Closed Beta should realize, quite simply, that its not done. We hope youll enjoy playing, but we also hope youll help us make the game even better with great constructive feedback and dedicated testing. Taking part in a Closed Beta can sometimes be more like work than play but its a unique chance to see a game taking shape, and to get an insight into development."
