A site has started running a petition to convince Blizzard to open up their planned access policy and to allow people to play in any regions server they desire. Blizzards plan so far had been to restrict access to servers based on your geographic area.

To: Blizzard Entertainment
The following ask Blizzard to reconsider their decision to restrict server access by region on release of World of Warcraft.

We recognise that there is no benefit to the community or any other smaller groups associated with World of Warcraft, to separate the servers in this manner. We fully understand that by supporting this and playing in another region that we can not expect the same quality of service, in terms of network connection, GM support or special events.

The petitioners would like to draw attention to previously successful games, such as Dark Age of Camelot and Everquest, which have performed well under less restricted conditions.
