I have seen several discussions about voice chat and MMO’s in the last week. Two such articles have been Fridays edition of Loading and an article I found on Wired this week. While the articles state some of the good or bad around it, I wanted a chance to voice my opinion on the subject too. What better place than my Blog to do so.

As soon as voice is introduced group dynamics change. I find it very hard to take raid instructions from someone just a bit over 1/3rd my age. I wouldn’t argue that they may in fact know much more about the raid than I do, it’s just hard mentally to take instructions from someone who could be your child.
