In response to the "I Am Murloc!" music video, Cody "Micajah" Bye marvels at the amount of personality inherent in World of Warcraft characters. He explores this idea and wonder why more MMOG companies don't try to bring more personality to their NPCs in his blog, "Where's the Personality?"
As I was watching the video, I couldn't help but notice that all of the various Horde character in the band were playing appropriate instruments in the band. The Tauren was pounding out monstrous rhythm on drums, the Troll, Undead, and Blood Elf were on guitars, and the Orc was belting out the vocals. Each acted appropriate to their personality, which struck me as an odd thought. Do World of Warcraft characters virtual creations on a computer screen actually have personality?
