Scott Jennings, well-known blogger and game dev noted for his work on Dark Age of Camelot, posted today on how companies should do successful PvP in their MMORPGs.
So, here is my incredibly humble checklist of how to make your player vs player not morph into player vs company. In other words a design manifesto cleverly disguised as some incredibly obvious aphorisms! I can speak from experience, of course, having worked on one of the more successful PvP-centric MMOs and, much more importantly, having complained a lot on message boards.
