Geeks take things apart.

It doesn't matter if it is broken, working, or even theirs. They have an almost instinctual need to tinker and an addiction to touching the sparking insides of anything and everything

But why?

Well...it is now all explained.

The geek mind is an amazing tool. It is forever changing, adapting, and learning. As we tinker and take apart, we gain understanding and knowledge. That knowledge helps us grow, helps us become stronger, and eventually we can take that strength and use it to help all of mankind.

But in order to do that, we have to break some sh*t, and we have to break it HARD.

Which is why no self respecting geek will ever tell you no when you thrust a piece of technology in our face and ask us if we can “fix” it. It doesn’t matter if we’ve never seen it, heard of it, and we’re not even exactly sure WHAT it is. We’ll take it, look at it thoughtfully, turn it over on its back and start looking for extra screws. And the more broken it is when you give it to us, the better.

Coyote gives you even more reasons in today's It's All Geek to Me.
