So what's the appeal of card games compared to MMOGs and why would anyone start playing a CCG from an MMOG and vice versa? Initially the instant gratification of opening card packs is tremendous. Popping a pack and getting your first Obi-Wan Kenobi (for you old Decipher SWCCG players) or Lotus (for the wizened Magic player) is unlike any other feeling in the world. You take your card in trembling hands and swiftly put it in the safest place you can find.
