Welcome once more to Search for Rare and Wonderous Creatures of the Gaming World! Some time ago, we tracked the elusive and endangered Roleplayer. This creative creature was in danger of extinction, and conservation efforts are ongoing. With this in mind, we began to examine whether the world of Gods and Heroes could mean the salvation of this species.

It was with this goal we set out to examine Gods and Heroes from the view of a Roleplayer, struggling to survive. We are proud to report that our initial impressions of the world show a great deal of promise for our struggling friends.

Word is that the cities in Gods and Heroes are rather larger, and the marketplaces open. Under this format, we could see a lot of opportunity for the Roleplayer to join with the NPCs in selling their wares. While we were unable to find out if the NPC vendors even try or just rely on their reputations, it's a safe bet that Merchant Roleplayers will have a role to fill in this world.

Another popular attraction for the Roleplayers is bound to be the public forums. These great meeting places were always designed for the exchange of ideas and beliefs. Should these carry well into the Gods and Heroes world, then the ones such as this one in Ostia are bound to be popular hangouts for the endangered Roleplayer.

Mention has also been made of a roman bathhouse. We've seen screenshots of it, and it looks like a prime place for Roleplayers. It is this researcher's opinion that many types of Roleplayers will be able to find sanctuary within it's walls. Perhaps business deals will be brokered here, and maybe folks will just come to relax. In the end, it is sure to become a favorite hangout for the Roleplayers.

It's a shame that there's little more than this to go on. While we would love to get a chance to run around within the game and find all the places where the Roleplayers might find a niche to survive in, the game remains in closed beta status, apparently until early next year.

Rest assured that once the Non-Disclosure period is over and the open beta begins, our intrepid crew will descend on the servers. At that time, we will return to reveal the results of our findings, and begin to gather the Roleplayers into their new sanctuary.

As the sun slowly sets on our expedition, we looked out upon the world that Perpetual is creating, and found a new chance for the endangered Roleplayer. Until next time, this Charabis, sending out our best wishes for the future of Roleplayers everywhere.
