Destiny 2 Charged With Light Guide

What is the Destiny 2 Charged with Light System and how does it work?

The Charged with Lights mods are available through the new Obelisk system in Season of Dawn.   We currently only have four Obelisks in the game, giving us access to 12 total mods.   The mods are elemental and can only be slotted into an armor piece with the matching element.

Using the mods is relatively simple and yet, it isn't explained very well at all.    There are mods that will generate Charged with Light and also mods that use those charges to benefit you.

To obtain the mods, you need to do a lot of work.  You must rank the obelisks up to Rank 10 at which point the mods become available for 10 Mod Components.   There are currently two Obelisks (Tangled Shore and Mars).

You must have a mod that generates charges and a mod that consumes charges for the new system to start working.   You can't generate charges if you don't have a mod equipped to use them.

We have a lot of work to do to test this new system out, but the damage buff mod increases damage by 20%.  However, it does NOT stack with other buffs like rifts or when using Weapons of Light.

Ehroar has a great explanation.

The jury is still out on whether these mods are worth using, but keep checking back.
