Where to Farm Chitin Powder

Destiny 2: Dawning requires you to farm Chitin Powder.  Here is the best place to get it.

Chitin Powder drops from Hive mobs.   There are plenty of places to find the Hive, but there are few that spawn more of these nasties than Escalation Protocol.    Just head to Mars and transmat in as close to the Obelisk as you can.  You will see red glowing squares with what looks like Fiery wires coming out of them.  You can interact with those glowing squares to start Escalation Protocol.

Once the event is started, wave after wave of Hive will attack.  Kill them and collect your Chitin Powder.
