How To Rank Up Fast in Destiny 2 Season of Dawn. 

Ranking up happens by just playing Destiny 2, but there are ways to speed up your progress dramatically. 

XP farming isn't especially entertaining, but it does get you Artifact levels / mods and Season Pass levels. 

First and foremost, remember that there are bonuses for handing in your bounties while you are in a Fire Team.    Get as many bounties as you can and when you are running Sundial or other activities where you are part of a Fire Team hand in everything that is completed. 

The higher your season pass rank, the higher a bonus you get on experience.  In other words, the hardest work is right at the beginning.  The higher you rank the easier it becomes to get the next rank.  

Don't forget to have a Ghost equipped that grants you bonus experience as well.   This is one of those passive boosts that really adds up. 

Banshee-44, the Gunsmith bounty Exo in The Tower now has repeatable bounties.   Grab as many as you can. They will ask you to get a number of kills with specific weapon types, etc.   Eris (on the Moon) has similar bounties, so grab all hers as well.   You will be doubling up on the completion rate of many of your bounties. 

Farming XP in Destiny 2

Complete your bounties in Altars of Sorrow.  The waves of mobs and helpful groups allow you to get massive numbers of kills without worrying too much about having an optimal loadout.   Need kills with a fusion rifle? Use a fusion rifle?  Need to swap to Solar from your preferred Void class?  Do it mid build of a Super if you have to since it doesn't hurt much.   You will have lots of ammo, Glimmer, orbs and everything else that you could possibly need just by running around and completing Altars of Sorrow. 

On top of this, grab both Vanguard and if you enjoy PvP Crucible bounties.   Some of the Vanguard bounties can be completed while you do other activities.  The more you can double up the better. 

The aspect that will hold you back is Glimmer.  That blue gold that usually sits at full.   Bounties cost Glimmer, so you will need to run other activities to stock back up on Glimmer.   Altars of Sorrow remains a good way to gain Glimmer.   

Done on your main character? Now do it on another... and then the final character.   There is no faster way to Rank up.  You should get a rank every 20-25 minutes.  

Let's break that down into something super easy to read:

• Equip a Ghost with experience bonus
• Grab bounties from Banshee-44 in the Tower
• Grab Vanguard bounties in the Tower.
• Grab bounties from Eris on the Moon
• Grab the Obelisk bounties (Mars, Tangled Shore)
• Head to Altars of Sorrow and complete as much as you can.
• Head to the Sundial.  When you are in a Fire Team hand in everything that is complete. 
• Complete the Sundial
• Complete the rest of your bounties.
• Do an activity that puts you in a Fire Team.  Hand in everything that is complete
• Lather, Rinse, Repeat on another character. 

You should be cranking out approximately a rank every 20-30 minutes.
