When choosing the best Medical building in Tom Clancy’s The Division, you should try to mix in potent healing abilities with survivability. Luckily there are a lot of talents, skills and perks to choose from to get the job done. To make sure you’re up to the task and on the right track, here are our picks for making a powerful medic build.

The electronics stat is your best friend as a healer, because they power up all of your healing abilities allowing you to do bigger heals more often. While you will definitely want to focus on electronics, you should also make sure you have enough stamina. You’re no good to your squad if you can’t take a hit and keep on healing.

Skills

Pulse is an extremely useful skill, not because of it’s healing power but because it locates any hidden enemy units and reveals them to your teammates, even through obstructions like walls. You can even mod it so that any enemy affected with pulse takes additional damage from your team.

Your other three abilities are all focused on healing. You have your first aid, which heals you and all allies in the immediate area. The Support station that can be placed anywhere on the ground and provides healing and revives to nearby friendlies, and the recovery link which heals/ revives all of your squad for a large amount.

The real hard choices come when you have to pick the skill modifiers for each skill. For straight up healing power, go with overdose for the first aid skill; the support station is already great at healing so consider modding it with ammo cache to automatically refill ammo or immunizer to remove negative effects from any players that come into it’s area of effect. You can also mod the support station to have the ability to revive downed squaddies in addition to healing them. This can be very useful, especially in PvP situations.

Talents

If your group has more than one medic you can switch things up in the talent section and go with some damage boost, but otherwise you’ll want to focus on talents that increase your healing output/ survivability.

  • Combat medic – causes your medpacks to heal nearby allies when used on yourself.
  • Battle buddy – reduces incoming damage to yourself while reviving a downed teammate.
  • Strike back – reduces your cool downs when your health drops below a certain level.
  • Tech support – increases the duration of deployed skills when you kill an enemy.

Weapons

As a medic you’ll want to keep yourself out of the middle of the combat, so when you choose a weapon go for something with range. Any sort of rifle is a great choice, but ideally something like an assault rifle that can go full auto when things get hairy.

Your secondary weapon should fill in any gaps your team has. If you lack suppressing weapons, consider strapping an LMG or sub machine gun on.
