Warcraft 3 Reforged: Day and Night Cycle

Warcraft 3 Reforged includes the day and night cycle from the original Warcraft III.  Here is how the day and night cycle works and how it affects the game. 

How To Tell If It Is Day Or Night

A U.I. element at the top of screen shows either a sun (Day) or a moon (Night).   As time in the game progresses eight small globes within the U.I. Element will fill.   When all eight globes fill up the time of day will change.   

There is also an audio cue (a wolf howls) when the game changes from Day to Night. 

How Does Day and Night Affect The Game?

Night Elves' units only regenerate during the Night.   Some Night Elf units are also invisible (if stationary) at night. 

Orcs and Humans regenerate during both Day and Night cycles.   

Undead regenerate on Blight.  The Day and Night cycles do not affect them. 

Sight range is greater during the day.   Night Elves can research an ability that lets them have the same sight range at night. 

Night Elf players can also use an item called a Moonstone.  This will turn Day into Night for a very short period of time.
