Warcraft 3 Reforged: Human Fast Expand With Mountain King

Humans can expand faster than any race. The Mountain King's killing ability adds a new twist to fast expansion harass.

This build order works versus every race.  Mountain King is in general considered a 2nd choice Hero behind Archmage, but he brings some things to the table that makes him a good first choice Hero as well.   Though he is more expensive to equip than Archmage he does far more burst damage.   Enemy Heros must respect Stormbolt.   Thunder Clap is an excellent threat as well.   He can harass or limit harass against you just by being in the game.

Human Fast Expand with Mountain King Build Order

  • Train Peasant and keep them coming to about 12 total
  • Put 4 Peasants on Gold
  • Remaining Peasant builds an Altar
  • 1st Peasant to pop builds a Farm framework and then drops a Barracks.
  • 2nd Peasant to pop finishes the Farm that is already started.
  • 3rd Peasant builds 2nd Farm.
  • 4th Peasant goes to Gold
  • When the Alter is completed choose Mountain King
  • Rally the rest of the Peasants that you build to Wood.
  • Train 2 Footmen
  • Build 3rd Farm.
  • Creep to level 2.
  • Use 5 Militia and expand.
  • Tech up to Tier 2
  • Build Blacksmith
  • Build Lumber Mill
  • Build Workshop
  • Build 2nd Barracks
  • Build 2 Sanctum
  • Tech up to Tier 3

Ultimately, you want to have an army similar to this:

  • Mountain King
  • 2nd Hero of your choice (Archmage or Paladin)
  • 2 Priest
  • 2 or 3 Sorceress
  • 3 Rifles
  • 2 Knights
  • 3 Flying Machines
  • 3 Mortars
  • Don't replace Footmen as they die.

You have a well-rounded force that can deal with just about anything that your scouting reveals.
