Do we know anything about the Slayer (ninja hamster) as a result of this new Crowfall reveal? No. However, we do have an awesome piece of concept art as well as a lovely little story. At first sight the Slayer looks like Altair accidently swallowed a transmutation potion. What concerns me, inititally, is the fact that this ninja hamster (or is it Guinea Pig?) is likely a stealth user. I know it's somewhat obvious from the phrase "I cannot be seen. I cannot be caught." but it still concerns me.
Who am I? I look familiar, yes?
No. Your eyes deceive you.
I am no one. I am like the Wind.
One cannot catch the wind, for she cannot be caught. One cannot see the wind, for she cannot be seen.
So restless, the Wind! So bored, so lonely, so desperate for our affection! She aches to dance with us, to run and to laugh.
Where she goes, we see her touch: waves march, curtains dance, trees bow, clouds drift.
And yet, we are blind to her advances. She wails and cries and lashes at us, furious at our neglect.
Her howl can crush the greatest ship. Her cry excite the strongest flame. Her whisper extinguish the brightest candle.
Yet we do not see her face. We see only what she has touched, and know that she has gone.
I am like the Wind. You do not see me. You see only the bodies that I leave behind.
I cannot be seen. I cannot be caught.
I wrote recently about stealth and how I hope Camelot Unchained would do it differently. We don't yet know what Crowfall is going to do, but I really hope they follow the same path. This little ninja screams one-shot-kill and that's something I hope never arrives in Crowfall. What are your thoughts on the new Archetype? Do we think it's an April Fools?
