Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Iron Banner is Changing
If you have been wondering why the map rotation in Destiny 2 Shadowkeep's Iron Banner event has been solely new maps then you are not alone.
Bungie explained via Twitter that this was intentional.
Iron Banner’s first two days have been an intentional showcase of the newest Crucible maps in Destiny 2.

Starting on Thursday, the rest of the week will feature a varying mix of both new and classic maps. pic.twitter.com/9bTLY1Ekfv
For a New Light player like myself this is fantastic. I don't know any of the maps and this put me on at least somewhat of an equal footing. That said, I'm excited to see the older maps where veterans can destroy me just like they do now. There really won't be a lot of change from my end of things.
I'm curious how Veteran Destiny 2 players feel about all of the newbies like myself running around making a million mistakes and learning as we go. It has to have a watering down effect on the game which may make gameplay worse for them.
Are you a veteran? How do you feel about the new players, especially in PvP who really don't have a handle on things yet?
