Google developers worked at Bungie for six months to ensure Stadia would provide a quality experience for Destiny 2 players.

It remains to be seen if Stadia will be a success.   Only high-bandwidth consumers can use the service and they are the ones who really don't need it.   If you can download a 100GB game in a short time, why would you want to consume 5 - 15 GB of data every hour to play? It doesn't make a lot of sense.    Low-bandwidth users who wait hours for a game to download can't use the service due to their limited Internet.   It just seems like Google is trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist.

According to IGN Google sent their developers to Bungie to work on the port of Destiny 2.   Google believed that having face to face conversations and putting the two teams together would give them the best result.

“We were holding ourselves to the same standard and making the same commitment to the title that the Bungie team makes to Destiny,”

Aware that every development studio does things differently Google wanted to be in the thick of things, not only so they could see how Bungie did things, but vice versa.

“Seeing it on mobile was mind blowing. I think that is the first time the team really felt it was real.”

I can't imagine playing Destiny 2 on a phone or other mobile device, but then again, I can't imagine a lot of things.

What are your thoughts?
