Guild Wars is about to celebrate its 5th anniversary. And how does NCsoft and ArenaNet plan on celebrating the occasion? With new content of course! This spring players will have the chance to take part in Guild Wars Beyond, an ongoing campaign that will expand the Guild Wars storyline by focusing on key characters and events destined to make history and lead into the events of Guild Wars 2. The first event, the War in Kryta, will draw players into the conflict between the White Mantle zealots and the Shining Blade rebels to determine the fate of Kryta.

Guild Wars Beyond will allow you to experience the War in Kryta from its beginning to its end through a viral campaign complete with a website aimed at enhancing the Guild Wars storyline with new in-game content. Players will even have the chance to purchase the new White Mantle and Shining Blade costumes for their character. It should be an exciting time for Guild Wars fans as this new content will provide an intriguing progression into Guild Wars 2.
