If you followed our recent news article about how to take part in the Skyforge Russian Beta during last weekend, you'd be like the thousands of players who flocked to the servers to see what the game is all about. The video in question was taken by Noobzilla Gaming and is around eight minutes long. It doesn't show a huge amount of what Skyforge has to offer but what really stands out for me is the combat and the enemy AI.

Skyforge has been promoted as a game that offers combat skin to Bayonetta or Devil May Cry. While it certainly looks fast paced and well animated, it still looks pretty heavy on the tab-targetting. I don't have a huge problem with that but I think there's a risk here that players expecting the removal to tab-targetting will be disapointed. Other than that, the combat looks swift and the animations are certianly slick. I'm also really impressed with the visuals and some of the sounds.

The thing that has disapointed me the most is the fact that the enemies you're fighting against seem to do very little: that hardly makes for exciting combat if the enemies you're facing are braindead. I'm hoping to get some more time with Skyforge before I make any sort of decision.

How do you think Skyforge is shaping up? Did you play the Beta during the weekend? Let us know!
