You love ‘em!  You hate ‘em!  Bounties and Dailies!

World of Warcraft was the first game that I played that persuaded me to perform daily quests.  They were repetitious.  They became boring.   But, boy…did I do my dailies.   I’m a creature of structure.   I write this column at the same time every morning, right after I do my work out (at the same time), put my kids on the bus (same time) and have coffee with my wife (there’s a trend here.)

The lure of the Valor and Honor that I was accumulating kept me going.   I needed better gear and as a casual player one way to get it was…. To complete dailies.

With that in mind and knowing that I’m currently playing Destiny.    Here is my incomplete and utterly inefficient guide to Bounties in Destiny.

Incomplete and Utterly Inefficient Guide to Destiny Bounties

In alphabetical order (more added as I find them) This list will be updated until the community says “enough already”

Body Dropper

• Kill 100 enemies without dying
  
  • Load up Patrol Cosmodrome and kill away.

Exalted Hive

• Kill 20 Hive Majors/Ultras
  
  • Load up Patrol Cosmodrone on Earth. 
  • Run straight into the shack on your left and go down the stairs.
  • Hug the right wall.  
  • Kill the Knight and two Acolytes.
  • Run back up the stairs and back to where you landed.
  • Lather, rinse, repeat.

Extermination Protocol

• Defeat 200 Fallen with headshots
  
  • Load up Patrol Venus.
  • Take the “left” path.
  • Headshots until you hit 200.

Face Your Fears

• Kill three devil walkers
  
  •  Load up Patrol Cosmodrome.
  • Head to the Rocketyard.
  • Head to the factory and take out the walker.  
  • Go to orbit.
  • Return and you should be back with another walker ready to kill.
  • Lather, rinse, repeat.

It’s All in the Head

• Kill 100 enemies with precision damage
  
  • Pretty straightforward. 
  • Load Patrol Cosmodrome is the easiest.

No Parley / Fallen Leaders

• Kill 10 Fallen Ultras or Majors
  
  • Load up Scourge of Winter on Venus
  • Play through the story and you will kill 10.    It’s fast once you are geared up a bit.

One For All

• Achieve Gold Tier Rating in Public Events
  
  • Super easy, but can be time consuming.
  • Hit this site DestinyPublicEvents, to see what is happening now or soon. 
  • Lower level events are easier to get Gold Tier in.  

Overcharge

• Kill two enemies with one shot using a fusion rifle, 20 times.
  
  • Load up The Dark Within on Earth.   You will be rushed by sets of thralls.   Just don’t kill the Acolytes when this happens and the thralls will keep coming.   Lather, rinse, repeat.  It takes just over a minute to finish if you don’t kill the acolytes.

Patrol Mars / Venus / Moon / Cosmodrome

• Complete six Patrol missions in an area.
  
  • Load up the required Patrol and do six missions.  
  • This can be time consuming.

Predator and Prey

• Kill 20 enemies with precision damage
  
  • Load Patrol Cosmodrome and headshot the low level enemies near where you land.

Relic Harvest Mars

• Collect 200 Olympic Tears on Mars
  
  • Kill any mob on Mars
    • Regular mobs drop one tear.
    • Majors drop 20 tears
    • The Exclusion Zone set to heroic is a quick way to knock this off.

Relic Harvest Cosmodrome

• Collect 200 ether seeds on Earth
  
  • Load up Patrol Cosmodrome and kill away.

Target: Aksor, Archon Priest

• Defeat Aksor, Archon Priest in the "Winter's Run" Strike on Venus
  
  • Load up the "Winter's Run" Strike with a friend or two and take out Aksor.  Self explanatory.

Target: Bracus Tha'Aurn

• Defeat the Bracus Tha'Aurn in "The Buried City" mission on Mars with the Heroic modifier active.
  • Load up "The Buried City", put it on Hard Mode and work through until you kill Bracus.  

Target: Divisive Mind

• Defeat the Divisive Mind in “The Black Garden” mission on Mars with Heroic modifier active
  
  • Load up “The Black Garden” on Mars and fight through until you kill the Divisive Mind.

Target: Merok, Eir Prince

• Load up "Sword of Crota" (one of the best missions in the game in my opinion, put it on Hard mode and go to town.   
• Note, if you are under leveled, you can drop the sword and use your ranged attacks to kill Merok, otherwise he may one-shot you. 

Target: Primus Sha'Aull

• Load up "The Garden's Spire" on Heroic and have at it. 

Target: Prohibitive Mind

• Defeat the Prohibitive Mind in the "Rising Tide" mission on Mars with the Heroic modifier active.
  • Load up "Rising Tide", turn on Hard Mode and have at it.   

Walking Tall

• Complete any strike without dying.
  • Pretty self-explanatory.   Load up the lowest level strike that you are comfortable with and have at it.
