"Open Beta Begins Sept 7th"
Our
Warhammer Online community is one of the coolest around--we guarantee
it. But as the game nears open beta and launch, all sorts of new
virtual faces begin to crawl out of the virtual woodwork, and next
thing you know we have a social experiment on our hands. We stuff these
threads into our unmoderated free-for-all forum, "Da Threadz Wot is WAAAGH!" From there, we can either stare at them through a microscope or poke at them occasionally for our own amusement.
It started innocently enough when our friend Jaspers posted that he'd found news that Warhammer's open beta would begin September 7,
complete with linkage. Within three posts, our newer friend madluls
(suggested tagline: With a name like madluls you know it's got to be
troll!) showed up. Anarchy ensued, and went on all afternoon until
resident forum hero, Annatar, stepped in to save the day. You'll have
to read the thread if you want to behold this man's epic forum skillz.
Unfortunately, he got the thread back on track and stripped away all
our fun.
Awesome Quote from the Epic Thread:
"This is your warning Annatar. If you are going to continue to post
intelligently, on topic, and with purpose, we're going to have to adjust
your privileges."
