It's rare... really, really rare... that Scout Rifles are a weapon of choice in Destiny 2, but with the changes to some of the other weapon archetypes it appears that Scouts might be now not only be viable, but effective.

Effective and viable Scout Rifles means that it's time to sort out which ones are the best ones to use.

  • Symmetry - PvP Good - PvE merely OK.  You can read our Symmetry Guide here.
  • Polaris Lance - PvP  Good --- PvE Good.   Excellent at the long game.
  • The Jade Rabbit -  PvP Good -- PvE Good.  Excellent in the long and medium game.
  • Imperative - PvP OK -- PvE Good.   Being a 150 RPM rifle it doesn't compare to the Exotics.
  • No Feelings - PvP OK -- PvE Good.  Not as good as any of the above, but it is also played in a bit different style, so you may like it more.
  • Mida Multi-Tool - PvP OK - PvE Good .  Very forgiving and 200 RPM.

Aztecross has posted a fantastic video covering this exact title.

And there you have it, some great Scout Rifles that are not only fun to play with, but are now actually viable.

To this list we can now add Symmetry, the Scout Rifle from Season of Dawn.
