Curious about Iron Banner, but aren't sure if it's for you? This might change your mind...

1. This is a Pinnacle level activity, which means if you are already 950 then the rewards can take you up to the 960 hard cap.

There aren't a tonne of activities in the game that can carry you through that last 10 levels, but Iron Banner is one of them.   Is it a grind? Yes. Isn't that what this game is about though?  Smash the loot pinata over and over until you get what you want.   That's the joy in this type of game.

2. You can get Enhanced Armor 2.0 Mods from Saladin when you turn in your tokens.   They are rare, but I've talked to more than one person who said they turned in 400 - 500 tokens and received 4-8 Enchanced Armor 2.0 Mods.  That's amazing.   Remember to do the daily bounties on every character as they reward decent amounts of tokens.

3. Winning is better than losing, but you still get some rewards if you lose.    Losing a match still gives you 5 tokens (You get 10 if you win) and a few pieces of gear.   See (1.), that gear can boost you right to 960.    You are going to get on weak teams, but so what?  Flex a bit and carry them if you are really that Godly.   In the end you're going to be out 5 tokens if you lose, but still get some gear chances.

4. The armor looks good and has great stats rolls.  I have had armor drop that had 60+ stats on it.   Check it all.   You never know what you might get and again... isn't that a big part of the fun?

5. The maps are great and with the change to Iron Banner that Bungie just announced there are going to be more maps in the rotation.

6. Here's our guide on getting started.

True Vanguard gives his take on Iron Banner.  The comments are pretty negative, but that is normal.
