City of Heroes officially shut down last Friday, but it looks like the shakeup at NCsoft isn’t over just yet. PC Gamer has learned that after following up on an anonymous tip that the NCsoft Seattle offices had closed, PC Gamer while debunking the report learned something else. NCsoft Public Relations Director Lincoln Davis confirmed that the Seattle offices are currently undergoing realignment and that several employees and contract positions have been affected as a result.

“NCsoft is realigning internal publishing resources to better suit the needs of our game development studios,” Davis told PC Gamer. “As a result of the realignment, several employees and contract positions were affected.”

Davis didn't offer any additional details on the number of layoffs or if it could potentially impact any of the publisher's games. NCsoft laid off roughly 2% of its global workforce in October 2011 as part of its restructuring plans, and more recently shut down Paragon Studios as part of last week’s City of Heroes closure.

As always, our best wishes go out to those affected.
