Ten Ton Hammer has an early Christmas gift for you, and you can even open it today. Issue three of the Ten Ton Turnip tabloid hit newsstands, and I believe its our best one yet. SOEbay (where a Mr. T bobblehead goes for a mere 200 plat), the Drizzt Do'Urden MMOG, and The Twelve Days of Lich King, all for entertainment purposes only. But congrats to those of you who wrote asking the poor bedraggled PR folks in Irvine if Blizzard did indeed buy Mythic as was reported in TTT#2, you failed at both humor and comprehension.

I was trying to think of a clever way to work EVE into today's Loading..., since Christmas EVE seemed like such a great title. Long sessions of EVE coupled with football and hockey on TV, and far too many cookies is more my week-between-Christmas-and-New Year's tradition, though, and as I'm finishing up a key piece of training tomorrow it should be a good week for EVE.

My family's Christmas traditions are more Norman Rockwellian - we have ham and cheese sandwiches for dinner on Christmas Eve (don't know why, but we have for generations) and watch "It's a Wonderful Life" that night, and then we take turns reading the Christmas story over breakfast before it's time for opening presents. Quaint, for sure, but I feel that even the more mindless traditions are important insofar as they strengthen the connection to the people you care or cared most about, past and present.

What are your holiday traditions, quirky or otherwise? Share them in the Loading... forum, or send Christmas cards to my inbox and have a wonderful holiday season! No Loading... tomorrow - I'll be busy opening presents.

Happy Holidays!

Oh,
little Ten Ton forums...how still we see thee lie. It's the holiday
season and, as is true most everywhere on the interwebz, our forums
will likely settle down for a long winter's nap. (At least long enough
for all of us to settle in with our newly acquired toys and resume
normal adult life.)

Whatever you celebrate, from Christmas to
Yule to Hanukkah to Kwanzaa to Festivus, we'd like to wish you a
happy one. If you'd like to send holiday wishes to your friends at Ten
Ton Hammer, head on over to this thread. It's BYOB, but we've got cookies.
